Salvaged. Stored. Sketched!
Posted: March 3, 2018 Filed under: USkO | Tags: Re-use Hawaii Leave a commentWarehouse manager Carolyn opened this morning’s sketch event with an inspired summary of Re-use Hawaii’s mission, setting the stage for us sketching just a tiny fraction of the countless salvaged and donated construction and household items on display. For the social media minded, here is the tag list from our show-and-tell session: toilet bowl, lion sculpture, giant hardwood slab, curious patron, mitre saw, storage shelf, forklift, lumber yard, ceiling light, warehouse, forged pliers, sink, metal sign, tiger boat, … and the list goes on. It was a good day to encounter (and sketch) something we had never even seen before!
Thank you again to Carolyn for being such a welcoming and enthusiastic host! We will be back!
As always, don’t forget to check out our sketches on Flickr and upload your own!
Make sure to stay tuned for our next events – details coming soon!
