A flying twist to an in-person meet-up [updated]

This Saturday begins the 75th WWII Commemoration Events in Hawaii. From 10- 11am (note the updated schedule), there will be 14 WWII warbirds flying over various parts of Oahu.

“To have these Warbirds in Hawaii, flying over the very deck of the USS Missouri where the Instrument of Surrender was signed on September 2, 1945 ending this global conflict, to honor all WWII veterans, is a tribute that will live on in the hearts of all who see it.”

This is an historic commemoration and we on Oahu are privy to witness this special tribute. Wherever you are, sketch what you see in the skies. If possible, position yourself for a grand view of the Legacy of Peace Aerial Parade. Keep in mind all beaches and parks are still closed.
It will be fascinating to see everyone’s sketches from literally different points of view. Please post your sketches on Flickr and Instagram and tag us @urbansketchersoahu or use #urbansketchersoahu.
Happy sketching.
