Capture the 2020 Okinawan Festival from your home

Just like many 2020 events, the Okinawan Festival which attracts more than 50,000 visitors annually, is going virtual this year. That means everyone around the world can enjoy front-row seats from the comfort of their living room.

Grab an andagi (deep fried Okinawan donut) and your pencil or media of your choice and capture the Okinawan spirit and culture streaming online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LdjMxFqzXw

This year’s theme “Sharing Uchinachu Aloha” include singing, dancing, paranku, and taiko performances from various clubs in Hawaii.

Special guests:
Music performance by Jake Shimabukuro
Cooking demo by Chef Roy Yamaguchi
