Through Wind and Rain

Today’s event underlined again the urban sketchers’ mantra that capturing the world around us need not be limited to spectacular scenery and special events. Mānoa Valley District Park offered countless worthy views – even for sketchers hiding from blustery wind and rain. The extraordinarily ordinary was just as fun: parked cars, birds, the baseball field, a school hallway with a hopscotch path, the gym, the playground, and of course abundant flora.

As always, don’t forget to check out our sketches on Flickr and upload your own!

Stay tuned for details about our next event on December 7 at Bishop Museum!

Also, USkO T-shirts are in production and will be ready to pick up in January at the first event of the new year.
