Escape to the “Garden for Native Hawaiian Plants”
Posted: November 1, 2026 Filed under: USkO Leave a commentAlthough I’ve personally never been there, other urban sketchers talk highly about this hidden gem just outside of downtown Honolulu. Let’s meet here:
Saturday, Nov. 14, 2926
Lili’uokalani Botanical Garden
123 N. Kuakini St. Honolulu 96817
10 a.m. to Noon

This 7.5 acre public park was a favorite picnic grounds of Queen Liliuokalani, the last reigning monarch of the Hawaiian Kingdom. It was later gifted to the city for public enjoyment. The park is a sanctuary of native Hawaiian plants and a picturesque small waterfall along Nu’uanu stream. Visit the website for inspiration and directions.
If attending, please RSVP at uskoahu@gmail.com by Friday, Nov. 13 so I know to expect you.
Hope to see you there!
Terri
